It’s more than a pop-up restaurant, it’s a dining experience beyond compare. Pret a Diner is where the fusion of edibles, drinkables and art make for a shared experience that diners will be chewing on long after they’ve finished their food. The sensational Opernwerkstätten premises are ready to impress Berliners until the last meal is served up in little over a month, so get your dinner while it’s hotter than hot.

Want to win a free meal for two? Sure you do. Tweet us a big HELLYEH @unlike, or drop a friendly mail/plea to editor@unlike.net for your chance to win a 3-course menu and accompanying wines between January 21st and February 28th.

The purpose of art is regularly disputed; some feel it should be easily understood, just as others believe it should require thought. “Suspended Disbelief“—a group exhibition featuring nine contemporary artists—falls into the latter category, asking viewers to set aside preconceptions and accept a new kind of reality in which all new possibilities can occur.
The exhibition runs through the end of August at NYC’s Von Lintel Gallery.

Hey, San Francisco…It’s music you can see and dance that you can hear. Handclaps and sex breath, foot-stomping and song. It’s body music, a term that encompasses the aural art born of performers creating music without the use of instruments. It could be a Greek capella choir or Spanish flamencas tapping their heels in a frenzy of footwork without the traditional accompaniment of guitar. It could be Inuit throat singers evoking the icy landscape of the North or an American beat boxer creating the lush sounds of a full music ensemble with nothing but his vocal cords.
The International Body Music Festival, hosted in San Francisco November 1-6, is a celebration of an art form that is as old as time itself, and also completely new. Events take place at the lush Yerba Buena Center for the Performing Arts and other locations throughout San Francisco, the IBMF features artists from Brazil, Indonesia, Turkey, Canary Islands, Greece, Canada and the United States.
The above image is a sneak peek into the sonic symphony generated by the Athens, Greece-based Kantu Korpu, a feisty ensemble that choreographs performances rooted in a rich body of traditional sounds not only from Greece, but throughout the Mediterranean and the Balkans.
